If you do not have a high school diploma, you may substitute a General Education Diploma (GED) in your application to Universal Technical Institute (UTI). If you need to obtain your GED, here is some helpful information along with links to online resources to get started.
Get prepared to take the GED.
Find a testing center near you.
UTI does not offer GED testing at any of its facilities and online testing is not available. Tests must be taken through an official GED testing center in the state where you live. In many cases, this test is available in your area.
There are GED test preparation and tutoring services available. In many cases, these services are available in your area. If you prefer preparing online, there are a lot of programs that can prepare you in 12 to 15 weeks.
The cost to take the test and requirements for eligibility varies by state.
There are GED practice tests available online. However, keep in mind that your official test must be taken at an official testing center.
The return of your test can vary by state but in most cases it takes 2 to 4 weeks to receive your results.
