Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) in Phoenix, Arizona prepares you with the foundational skills for a career as a technician in motorcycle, ATV, side-by-side, snowmobile and personal watercraft mechanics. What is the classroom learning like?

Our in-class learning is designed to be an engaging learning experience that includes facilitated discussions, group activities and live demonstrations.
Are academic classes such as math, science or English required?

While not separate classes, math and science aligned with the learning skills are incorporated into the course teachings, along with industry terminology that technicians need to succeed.
Are students required to have experience in order to attend?

No, our curriculum does not require prior experience and is specifically designed to teach the skills necessary to become an entry-level technician.
What certifications will I hold when I graduate?

Each student graduates with either a diploma or Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree, depending on the program and campus, with the possibility of additional certifications.
Can students work while attending UTI?

Yes, students can work and attend school if needed. Our Employment Services team can help identify local job openings based on a student’s schedule.
