Our Miramar, FL, trade school teaches the skills often needed for careers in diesel, automotive and welding technology. And the Airframe & Powerplant Technician training program is coming to UTI Miramar pending FAA approval.79

UTI Miramar is a vocational school where students can develop essential skills for the automotive, diesel, welding and aviation industries. Our technical training programs, created in collaboration with industry leaders, are delivered in controlled classrooms and labs outfitted with current industry equipment.Specialized training is also available at other UTI locations, including UTI Orlando in Florida, for those looking to advance their professional credentials after completing core training.
UTI Miramar offers four core programs that can each be completed in less than a year:7 Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, Welding Technology, and Airframe & Powerplant.79
In 51 weeks,7 students enrolled in our Automotive Technology program at UTI Miramar’s trade school can gain hands-on automotive training and learn essential technician skills.18 Graduates from our Miramar, FL, auto mechanic school earn an occupational associate degree (OAD).
Diesel Technology students at UTI Miramar’s technical school can learn how to diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines and equipment in just 45 weeks.7 After graduating from our Miramar, FL, diesel mechanic school, students earn diplomas.
UTI Miramar’s 36-week Welding Technology program allows students to learn in-demand skills in four major arc welding processes. Students earn diplomas after graduating from our Miramar, FL, welding school.
The 18-month Airframe & Powerplant Technician program allows students to get trained to repair, diagnose and maintain different aircraft and powerplant components. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers in the aviation industry.79
UTI Miramar awards an occupational associate degree (OAD) to its Automotive Technlology and Automotive/Diesel Technology graduates. All other graduates receive diplomas.
Students attending UTI Miramar's technical school location can enjoy nearby beaches in their free time or take a trip to the Homestead-Miami Speedway, which hosts a variety of racing events.

Those interested in attending UTI do not need to have prior experience. However, prospective students must be at least 16 years of age. A high school diploma or GED diploma is also required. Additional admissions details can be found here.
While math classes are not separate, math that is aligned with learning skills is incorporated into the curriculum alongside industry terminology needed for technicians.
UTI offers its Automotive, Diesel, Motorcycle and Marine technician training in a blended learning format, which includes a mix of online instructor-led training with hands-on application in the lab. All other programs follow a completely hands-on learning model.
