Our newest trade school campus in Bloomfield, New Jersey will offer auto and diesel training in fully equipped classrooms and labs. The programs will be led by instructors with real-world experience, and upon completion of their programs, graduates will be prepared to pursue a career in the automotive or diesel industry.

The automotive and diesel industries never sit still. With growing numbers of vehicles on the road and the constant development of advanced technologies, demand for technicians with the ability to diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical and technical systems should only increase. UTI’s expert instructors use state-of-the-industry training tools and methods to prepare students to pursue a career in transportation and machinery—in less than a year.4

When you graduate from UTI's Automotive Technology or Diesel Technology program, you'll possess the skills needed to pursue a career in the industry. In addition, you'll be awarded a certificate recognizing your achievement. 

Credit Toward ASE Certification

The training received by UTI Automotive and Diesel program graduates counts as one year of the two-year work experience requirement to become ASE Certified.

Our state-of-the-industry campus includes over 80,000 square feet of lab space, the ideal setup for hands-on training. We offer an on-site cafeteria, as well as a student lounge and shuttle service to and from Chicago. Why not take a tour? We're available Monday through Friday.

4) UTI’s Automotive Technology program is 51-weeks. Core program length varies by subject. For example, Diesel & Industrial Technology is 45-weeks and Automotive/Diesel Technology is 75-weeks.

5) UTI programs prepare graduates for careers in industries using the provided training, primarily as automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle and marine technicians. Some UTI graduates get jobs within their field of study in positions other than as a technician, such as: parts associate, service writer, fabricator, paint and paint prep, and shop owner/operator. UTI is an educational institution and cannot guarantee employment or salary.
