HVACR Program Overview

MIAT’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) program is designed to prepare you to pursue a career in just 9 months.1 This program prepares students for careers such as HVACR service technician, maintenance technician, HVACR installer, refrigeration technician, HVAC technician, HVAC controls technician, HVAC lab technician, commercial duct installer, and preventative maintenance technician, just to name a few.2 In addition to learning various systems, you’ll prepare to test for certifications that are valued by the industry.

HVACR Technician Training

Working on HVACR systems requires an awareness of safety procedures, knowledge of heating and cooling, familiarity with tools used in the industry, and the ability to perform a variety of manual skills. In MIAT’s program, you’ll learn all of this and more. Some key topics covered in the program include:
